Academic Concentration

As a graduate of Watauga College it has taken me a while to realize a suitable path for my academic career. As of right now my concentration is an individually-designed version of "American Studies." My coursework includes creative writing, political science, anthropology, English, etc. I am planning on minoring in Sustainable Development. I am interested in such things as the evolution of American music, as well as music in general, American arts and literature, unique American cultures, and American politics. I am looking for a good topic for our final project so if you have any good ideas let me know.

clint,

i was thinking about changing my idea into covering a project that would involve my paper topic from Gen y concerning the book "tuned out" why americans under 40 don't follow the news. i was thinking about more research and possibly working towards implimentations in which David Mindich talked about at the end of his book. let me know if you are interested in a group project for such an issue..since you are american studies and all

Clint,
let's progress american music! pop music today, and it is bold to even call it music, is simply shit. real pop music like brain wilson's "smile" is going to be hard to recreate because those days are simply gone. but that doesn't mean we can actual get good music to surface, it exists in abundance but commercial standards see this music as weird are "more importantly" not marketable. BULLSHIT! let's get it poppin, ill help every step of the way
